Introduction

Linet UK Shines at the BACCN Conference

Major of Belfast
Linet UK recently continued their association with the BACCN (British Association of Critical Care Nurses) as the major sponsor of the 24th annual BACCN Conference which incorporates the prestigious 3rd International Conference. This year's Conference, "An International Perspective; Cementing Alliances & Forging Success" took place in Northern Ireland's capital city, Belfast.

This year’s exhibition was officially opened by the Lord Mayor of Belfast Councillor Naomi Long and attracted over 400 delegates from the United Kingdom and further afield.

Once again Linet UK was delighted to sponsor the Wi-Fi lounge at this year’s conference. After a successful introduction at last year’s conference a complimentary internet access allowed the delegates stay connected.

The BACCN conference provided the ideal opportunity for key people from the field of critical care to get their hands on and see demonstrations of Linet UK’s innovative products such as the Multicare and Eleganza XC advanced bedframe systems and the Virtuoso 3-cell cycle pressure area care mattress.

The Multicare and Eleganza XC advanced bedframe systems are designed to simplify interventions in critical care situations. Special features of the beds such as lateral tilting, x-ray translucent surfaces and in-bed weighing enhance patient treatment and provide in-bed diagnostic solutions that assist in reducing the moving and handling risks for nursing staff.

The three-cell technology of the Virtuoso mimics the method by which the body usually prevents pressure damage by providing frequent complete elimination of pressure. The Virtuoso will provide accelerated healing of all grades of pressure ulcers irrespective of mobility.

The British Association of Critical Care Nurses is one of the largest Critical Care organisations in the UK. Its annual conference now has a reputation for delivering imaginative conference programmes that are educationally stimulating and informative. The Conference welcomes all professionals within the Critical Care field regardless of level or grade.

This initiative celebrates the development and advances of the management of those people in need of Critical Care and creates a great opportunity to bring a wide range of skills, techniques and debate for the advancement of this speciality, to improve the quality of care and quality of life for patients.
